  • A Comprehensive Plan is a blueprint for the future. It is a community vision that will guide the City of Danville for the next 25 years. The Comprehensive Plan will result in a set of policies that direct future growth and development. Additionally, the creation of a plan can lead to potential strategies that will help effectively guide City leaders as they make substantive and thoughtful decisions for the community.

  • The City is committed to involving residents, businesses, and workers in the process to craft a community vision for Danville's future. Ultimately, the Plan Commission and City Board will approve and adopt the Comprehensive Plan.

  • Existing plans are an important part of the Comprehensive Plan process. These plans will inform the Comprehensive Plan, and in some cases will be incorporated into the plan if the goals and vision are still consistent with the aspirations of the community today.

  • The initial phases of the plan have begun with anticipated completion in the Spring of 2026.
